Providence House is looking for compassionate childcare professionals who can use their strengths to support children experiencing trauma and provide a safe and loving environment. Working in our crisis and pediatric crisis nurseries, Childcare Providers are assigned up to 5 children, 0-12 years of age, each shift. Each Childcare Provider is primarily responsible for all aspects of the children's care, including providing developmentally-appropriate educational enrichment activities and bathing/toileting/hygiene needs. Care is provided in a trauma-informed way and there is a focus on positive behavior management. Each shift also works as a team to complete additional household duties as assigned.
 

Providence House is a drug-free workplace, and all applicants are required to complete a criminal background screening and a 5-panel drug screening prior to starting employment. 

Additionally, all employees and volunteers are mandated reporters. 

Qualifications for Childcare Provider positions:

  • 21 years of age or older; High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • One to two years of direct paid childcare experience at minimum
  • Valid State of Ohio driver’s license
  • CPR/First Aid certifications a plus

Shift Hours

Must be able to accommodate weekend and holiday work schedules as needed.  Shifts available below:

 Monday - Thursday, 4:30pm - 9:30pm (part-time)

The starting rate of pay is between $15 per hour commensurate with experience. Night shift receives an additional shift differential of $1/hr.
